What are the JDK versions available? Currently, these are the widely used versions: Java 6 and Java 7 — outdated and vulnerable versions not recommended for use. Still, many older applications use them. Java 8 — the oldest LTS version still supported.

Other LTS versions include 11 and 17, the last being the latest available. There are also other numbered versions available, including Java 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, and The real question is what version you need.
